Cascadia Sugar Snap Pea Seeds, Heirloom Seeds, Non-GMO
Category: snap peas
We are a small family-owned business, and natives of Idaho. Our employee force consists of family and friends as we grow with you, our customers and community. Our love for gardening and helping to enrich others' lives through the cultivation of flowers, vegetables, herbs, and fruit is our purpose and passion.
Isla's Garden Seeds are locally sourced from the United States, predominantly from high-quality farms in the Pacific Northwest. We only sell the best seeds as we understand the importance of integrity in growing food to feed yourselves and your families. The health of our future is a driving force of our business. The majority of our seeds are Heirloom, Non-GMO.
Isla (pronounced Eye-Luh) is the youngest in our family, and we named our company after her because she is the anchor for the six of us, filling our home with a playful, vibrant, colorful joy, akin to a garden. If you've purchased seeds since the formation of our business in 2017, you may have received a rare packet with her photo on the front.
Cascadia Peas are a spring and fall producer, bearing numerous three-inch deliciously sweet pods over an extended harvest period within 60 days. Because peas thrive in cool weather and do not transplant well, they should be planted outside 4-6 weeks before the last frost or when the average soil temperature reaches at least 40 degrees Fahrenheit.
Our seeds are great for planting in the garden or for storing in a seed safe for emergency. Cascadia Peas are an annual crop, reaching 24-36 inches in height and requiring 2-4 inches of spacing. They produce 3-4 inch pods. The Latin name for Cascadia Peas is Pisum sativum, and they are classified as Open Pollinated, Cool Season/Warm Season. They are suitable for Hardiness Zones 3 through 12.
